If I could offer solid proof that Jesus is NOT the Messiah, would you want to hear about it?

Hopefully I have your attention with the above provocative question. Jesus, NOT the Messiah? Here is the purpose of my trying to provoke you. Too many people I fear, are more interested in their position, dogma, and doctrine than they are about the absolute Truth. We hate to be wrong! Period! And too often we hold to whatever we think is true, rather than continuing to consider evidence that may be presented to us. Pride is the root of it all and G-d knows that we all could stand a little more humility in our lives. So, where are you in this? How strongly do you hold to your paradigms and things that you hold dear? Are you open to new things? Can you easily humble yourself and consider new evidence that may be presented to you about whatever topic?

For the record. I believe that Yeshua of Nazareth is the Word of G-d become flesh and IS the Messiah! Again, the purpose of the above question was to simply get you to take a look inside. If there is something that you hold dear and you believe to be true, maybe it is and maybe it's not.

There are many positions that I once held on to, that today I don't believe to be true at all. For instance; Santa Claus. When I was a child I believed that this dude was a real guy and today I think him to be just a ploy of the enemy. Another example; I used to believe that the "original testament" was not really relevant for living particularly in regard to the 613 commandments and today I believe that G-d changes not, that Yeshua is the Torah/Tanakh/Original Testament made flesh and that the sum duty of man is to "fear G-d, and keep His commandments."

What are some things that you once held to be "true" and now don't?

  1. I think that the "positions" we all once held to did so as a result of listening to men rather then reading the Truth for ourselves. As a former Pentecostal Pastor I often reflect upon how many "positions" I once held to have changed & with them have changed me. Regardless of what we were taught was a "Truth" the sum duty of man is to Fear G-d & keep His commandments. The satan Clause, easter rabbit farce can be seen for what they are to anyone who seeks Truth as well as many other "doctrines" of men. Yeshua once said to "certain" Pharisees....your "traditions" have made null & void the commandments of G-d....FOR THEM but as for us the Commandments are very much relevant for living

  2. Changing ones mind can be a very tough thing to do. We must listen carefully to the Spirit of G-d and then we must have the courage to face the Truth when we see it. This takes a large dose of humility. Many of the Pharisees of the first century could not bare to think they were wrong and did not recognize the Truth standing directly in front of them. Nothing has changed. Many "spiritual" people today still don't recognize Truth staring them in the face. I'm guilty! May HaShem lead us daily into Him and His ways. Yeshua is the key and leader. Do what He did, and follow what HE said. It's really just that simple.

  3. It really is just that simple Brooks. It's sad to see so many people claiming to be followers of Christ, but yet we see them daily following after a position, a man, an idea (of their own), and never taking a minute to say, God are you in this? Or better, God, I know you're in this! Because this would mean we were constantly seeking Him and His plan. Tired of positions and selfish agendas.
